We’re proud to share that Vanessa Phillips, Director of Forensic Services at RISE Peer Recovery, and Mark Storms, Executive Director of Courage House, recently presented at the University of Southern Indiana’s Social Work Conference. Their presentation focused on the life-saving power of Narcan and its role in harm reduction and overdose prevention.
Drawing from their extensive experience in the recovery and behavioral health fields, Vanessa and Mark offered valuable insights into how Narcan can be used as a critical tool in combating the opioid crisis. They also explored the importance of reducing stigma, increasing access to life-saving resources, and empowering communities to take meaningful action.
