About

Meet Raven Held

Recovery Date: July 28, 2018

Q: What is your favorite recovery activity?
A: Encouraging and advocating for my clients. I love pouring into them and seeing the light come back into their eyes as they begin to heal, rebuild their confidence, and create the life they deserve.

Q: Who is your strongest advocate?
A: Myself.

Q: What is your dream vacation?
A: Somewhere green and lush, surrounded by ferns, moss, and beautiful vegetation.

Q: If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
A: C.S. Lewis, to experience his wisdom and enlightenment about Christ and how to treat others.

Q: What is your favorite movie, TV show, or book?
A: David. I love the depiction of the story of David and Goliath.

Q: What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy afternoon?
A: Snuggled up with my family or outside playing in the rain with them.

Q: What song is always on your playlist?
A: “So Will I” by Elevation Worship.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
A: The ability to read minds so I could understand people for who they truly are.

Q: What’s something most people don’t know about you?
A: I survived a triple stabbing that took the life of my boyfriend and nearly took my own life and the life of a friend. This experience is a major part of my testimony and drives my dedication to being for others what I needed during that time. I’m also a tomboy who enjoys hunting and fishing.

Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
A: Skydiving.

Q: Do you have a nickname?
A: Gypsy.

Q: What’s your go-to coffee or drink order?
A: Red Bull.

Q: What always makes you smile?
A: My family. They are my biggest blessing.

Q: What’s your favorite color?
A: Teal or sea foam green.

Q: What are you currently working on or learning?
A: Becoming my true authentic self without apology.

Q: What’s your favorite season?
A: Fall—especially deer season!

Q: In a movie about your life, who would play you?
A: Merida from Brave.
